When You Wish Upon A Star

Disney was FABULOUS!

My whole birthday weekend was fabulous. The night before my birthday, my mom planned this whole dinner for me and my friends and we all had some wine and dessert and played Cards Against Humanity and it was all so awesome. We had mini cupcakes from my favorite place too!

Then on my actual birthday we went to Magic Kingdom! I'm actually 12. We spent the whole day there and the snow white ride was SO GOOD! We got a fast pass for the whole party because Summer and Brenna had this lady who took an hour to do what she was doing and made them late so we literally got in line and waited 2 minutes and then get on and it was so worth it! The whole day was great and because it was my birthday, I got a pin and everyone (I mean everyone) was saying happy birthday. Even one of the photographers got all active and took pictures of me and took a selfie on my phone. Then later at night, we watched the show they play n the castle and it made me cry. Actual tears! Then the fireworks were so great. It was all very magical if you will.

Then yesterday, we drove home after staying with Brenna and Summer in their timeshare (thanks again guys!) and on our way home we saw a Wawa! If you're up north, you'll know why this was a big deal! So we had to stop and take a picture! Then when we got home, Rachel had to go home for work and I met up with Natalie and Natasha and we all went to Colorfast Tattoo in Coral Springs (super great artwork and awesome people!) and we got my first tattoo! I am so happy with it! Then we went to see Maleficent which was SOOOO good! I am in love with that movie! So good!

Tonight I am going to dinner with my dad and my little sister so I am excited about that! We're going somewhere in Miami!

On a different note, congrats to Pompanos class of 2014 on their graduation!

Sex

What an eventful 24 hours.

Not really  but definitely enjoyable.

Yesterday was Memorial Day (or day for beach and barbeque which I don't really understand because the day is supposed to be for veterans and the armed forces not your suntan) so my Madre cooked some really good food and we stayed home most of the day but at around 5 I went to my friend Kristens house with a bunch of other friends and we played Cards Against Humanity and we were all very clever it was a lot of fun. After a while we got hungry s we ordered a lard pizza from Dominos and when we got it (if you've ever had a large dominos pizza) we realized we would need another ne to satisfy 5 girls. So we ordered another one and we tried to be nonchalant about it but they knew.

Today I had class and didn't do much besides that. I got my tickets for Disney this Thursday for my birthday and tomorrow I have all my good friends coming over for dinner and strawberry ice cream! I'm actually 5 years old, you guys.

Anyways, off to watch my favorite movie and relax before constant activities this weekend!

Best Day Of My Life

Lately my weekends have been unusually quiet. I spent the entire day at home yesterday, cleaning. And today, I'm doing the same thing.

Many little accomplishments will come out of today though. The constant hunt for a job in Pittsburgh is exhausting but hopefully I'll be getting some promising results soon enough. Countdown to my moving day has been on going for months now but with summer quickly approaching, time will be moving a lot faster. Especially since the moving day was just bumped up to early August! Exciting stuff people.

This week will hopefully go by quickly. My 19th birthday is Thursday and I'm taking the whole day off (with the blessing of my bio professor) and going to Disney! I wish I was moving to Disney instead sometimes. I'm going with my best friends and Rachel is making me wear a crown (no objection there) and Joy is coming with us this time! It'll be great. Then on Friday, Maleficent comes out and I've been dying to see it because Angelina Jolie is a babe. Also I'm getting my tattoo on Friday, so wish me luck!

So for all you sarcastic cynics, I have a wonderful game for you. Cards Against Humanity is the best card game I have played so far in my 19 years. Its pretty raunchy at times but this game had me in tears the other day from laughter. 100% recommend this game, to anyone.

X-Men

I'm such an X-Men nerd. Last night I went to see the new movie and it was kick ass. It was so good.

Storm is a babe, Hugh Jackman has a great butt and Jennifer Lawrence is always flawless and that's just the beginning of it all. I seriously recommend it!

Afterwards, my friends came over and we watched Pride & Prejudice because we hate ourselves and devoured the last of the strawberry ice cream in my house.

Today I've deep cleaned my room. I have organized and tossed things and just overall had a full cleanse of all the old to make room for the new. Everything looks much nicer in my opinion. My room can be a mess at times, but its my mess so I become comfortable; eventually it becomes too much and I have no choice but to clean it. I'm sure there are a lot of people like that.  

Anyways, not much to report other than the movie (A++) and the room cleaning. I would post pictures but that would leave little to the imagination.

The 1975

Woooooooooow, last night was amazing!

When Natalie came over, I decided to go to The 1975 concert with her even though we didn't have tickets because I really love them right? Well, best decision ever. We got to hear them and see them a little bit and after the concert was over we got to meet the opening band Bad Suns and they were awesome live. I had heard some of their songs a little while ago and liked it but this just confirmed it. They were super sweet too! Ill post the pictures obviously (I look terrible) and this is the link to their website with their awesome music!

But the best part was when George from the 1975 came back out on stage and I got my phone case signed by him and I got a picture! He is the love of my life, I was so happy to meet him. He liked my phone case too! It was the best part of the night hands down. I am on high alert for when they go on tour again so I can get a ticket this time!

 

Also, if you guys have a chance check out Moderne. and they're new single Quietly. Really awesome song!

But yeah, really great wonderful night! Sometimes, even if you don't feel like going out, do it anyways because something wonderful could happen.

Show Me How To Lie

Sitting in the middle of my bio class right now actually. I just finished my first exam and I'm sitting in the back with the rest of the girls who are done waiting on the other girls to finish. It was tough. I can definitely see that the questions were kinda trick questions. I'm glad I caught them. After a semester with Putnam and Shipe in high school, I can spot a trick question a mile away. But I think I overall did very well on it. Fingers crossed!

Yesterday was a lot of fun, after put bio lab (which got our ridiculously early) a couple of the girls from my lecture who were in the lab too, invited me to go to Panera with them to study and we didn't get a whole lot done because we were taking too much but it was really nice to have a study group (even though we studied very little). After I got home, I read a lite but (current reading Pride & Prejudice, it's my favorite book!) and then Rachel came over to sleepover. I haven't seen her in a while, so we got yogurt and sat on the beach and talked a lot. It was a lot of fun. Joy slept over too and she is currently at my house and were gonna tan a little later. This morning Rachel and I went to Galleria mall and I bought this REALLY cute bikini from Aerie and the bottom was free! It is super cute. Hopefully Natalie will be coming over tonight and that'll be fun and Joy is spending the rest of the day with me!

Hope everyone's day is going as well as mine in. The break between the exam and lecture for today just started so I'm signing off for the day.

Lay All Your Love On Me

So it turns out if you don't have work or class and all your friends are busy (or in my case, only have like 3), living on your own tends to be pretty boring. With just the pups for company, and unfortunately Lulu's farts, I've been really bored. Been watching a lot of romantic comedies though and I don't know how much that's really helping me.

Anyways, Friends marathon today and then some award show so I think ill just hang out at home again. Still pretty gloomy. But its on and off.

But nothing to report.

Too Young To Die

So it's day 3 of parents being out of town and let me tell you about the party I threw last night!

I'm 100% kidding, I watched movies all day with Natalie.

It was a lot f fun though. We went and got our nails done (well just me, she kept me company) and I got this really pretty blue color. Afterwards (as per tradition) we went next door to Marshalls and I finally bought these red high-waisted shorts that I have continuously come back to and decided not to get. I mean after what, 4 visits in the last 6 months, they were finally on clearance so I couldn't not get them. They're really cute!

After that we went on a sob story movie marathon. We watched Blackfish, Love Actually, Les Miserables, and Remember Me. And we cried for every single one. We are so single, its rude.

I also cooked last night, like a real meal. I made chili with rice. And it was actually really good! And yeah I microwaved the rice but whatever, I actually cooked the chili and it turned out really good. I have pictures for proof!

It was a really nice day, gloomy and rainy so perfect for movies. I also found a recipe for a drink called a Sonic Screwdriver. If you like Doctor Who, you'll get it when you see the picture. Its made up with blue Gatorade, vodka, and Grand Mariner. (Just a little bit. It was good though.) If you don't like the taste of vodka which to some tastes like nail polish remover, I recommend!

Anyways, I have a whole day of tanning and studying to do today so I am going to finish my coffee in peace.

I would like to say that I would indeed survive living on my own. An empty house doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Your Hand In Mine

What a really great day!

First, well I slept terribly, but that was probably my fault. But then at work, we had a really great open and it was pretty stormy so it wasn't all that busy. I got to leave early, which was a nice surprise and when I left, everyone had signed a card for me (it was all very emotional) and it was really sweet, I love my coworkers. After I went home, I went to play with the puppies a bt because they'd been home alone all day.

When it came time, I went to school for my bio lecture. We had a pop quiz (which I had reviewed my notes with getting off early and all that) and I got every question right!  Today was a really good day.

Have the weekend to study and relax now.

Now I'm taking a break and watching Frozen with the pups. Gonna walk them as soon as the rain calms down.

Pride & Prejudice

Tomorrow is my last day, 8 more hours. I open tomorrow with the same people I did my first open with. I've come full circle. Tomorrow is my last shift and I will miss everyone a lot but its time.

My parents are also going out of town tomorrow for the weekend and will be back on Monday. Meanwhile I will be studying all weekend because come Tuesday I already have an exam in Bio. I mean I feel like I know the material pretty well so far which is good but I still need to hardcore study. I cant get anything lower than an A in this class. And the lab.

Speaking of the lab! Today we tested pH levels and Buffers and (yeah pretty basic) but it was fun. I have a really good group of girls to work with on this. I've done this experiment (not to this detail) many times before but it was fun with my group.

My frustration for the week is: Jane Austen writes men so well that I am angry they don't exist in real life. Its not her fault, because men like this did exist at one point but has now become a dying breed.

So I would like to make a PSA:
If my Mr. Darcy is out there: anytime you're ready to show your face, you'll know where I'll be.

And especially: If you don't understand the reference, don't bother.

Live High, Live Mighty, Live Righteously

You know you're a college student when you get a free Biology textbook! Today was my first day of the new semester and my teachers are pretty great. I have a lab in the morning and its a really long class (four hours!) Holy Biology Major Batman! I have the lecture shortly afterwards and my professor I swear is just like Wilson from House. He speaks the same way and is super funny. He took a particular liking to me since I was his only Pre-Medicine student! He has high expectations.

I got my lab coat today and I haven't been able t stop wearing it. I am in love with it. It looks so good on me! Just another thing to make me push for that white coat in my future.

This weekend will be interesting since my parentals will be out of town and I've got pup duty. Wont be to bad, I have to start studying for my first exam this week anyways (I know so soon).

Hope everyone is having a great day like I am! You don't get a brand new 250$ textbook every semester you know.

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there!

But especially to my mom who has put up with my crap for 19 years now. In the past, I've been real shitty to my mom and it was time I turned it around. I love my mom and no one has done a better job of kicking my butt to do the right thing and do good in school like she has. I appreciate everything she does for me. This week is my last week at Starbucks and sometimes I think I'll miss it and sometimes I'm glad I'm letting go so its kinda bittersweet.

Today I'm just hanging out with the fam, and tomorrow I begin my first day of the new semester! I'm excited!

Ok so I'm a huge book worm. Some of you may know that. So naturally, I've read Anna Karenina written by Leo Tolstoy. I really, really loved it and I recommend it to anyone who likes to read. I read the unabridged version which is much longer though. If you don't like to read, I recommend you watch the movie. It was directed by the person who directed Pride and Prejudice. I really enjoyed it and it stayed true to the book. I like the theme behind the film style for the movie.

Anyways, 10/10 Would recommend!

Tonight will be boring and work today was boring so happy Saturday!

M.O.N.E.Y.

Classes start next Monday and its looking really good. I get t buy a lab coat for my lab and don't mind me if I walk around wearing it all day pretending to be a doctor.

Work was ok today, really busy but glad its over because now I just have shorter shifts for the weekend.

Major boost of confidence. Hard work pays off! I have 13 credits now and I by the end of the summer I will have 23 credits for when I transfer up to Pittsburgh! I cant wait!

Work today was ok, I spent most of it just doing random things and setting up for Frappy Hour.

Yesterday when I hung out with Rachel, we tanned and went swimming (we got tanned holy moly) then went shopping at this really cute store by the beach and it was waaay to expensive but the stuff was cute. After that we went to this new cupcake shop and it was ahhhhmazing. They had these little macaroons and they were just perfect and airy and the cupcakes themselves were soooo good. They were called Batter & Co. so if you're ever in the Pompano Beach area, they are definitely worth checking out.

Anyways, tonight me and my parents are going to J Marks for dinner to celebrate my straight (almost) A's!

Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word

Well, I'm not going to get into why I've made the decision but its been made.

I will no longer be working as a barista at Starbucks. My school means to much to me at this point in my life and I need to focus on only that. I love my Starbucks family and it makes me sad that I need to leave but I loved working there. Yeah it was stressful but a lot of fun things happened while I was there and a lot of good memories were made there and a lot of friendships came out of it too. I don't regret my time there. But its time to move on.

The last few days were kinda blurred due to making this decision but I did get to go see my best friend Joy's mom's new salon. Its at one of those places where people lease out their own room kind of and its in a building full of other salons. Like her mom does facials, body massages and wraps and stuff like that while someone next door could be doing nails or hair. Its a really cool idea. And it was really pretty in her room, she did a great job decorating!

After that we all went to get pizza at this place called Manhattan Joes Pizzeria and it was the bomb.com let me tell you. It was really good pizza! One of the best I've had in a long time.

Rachel is coming over today and were gonna tan and hang out and plan out my birthday trip to Magic Kingdom! I wanna go twice this summer because soon I wont be able to just go when I feel like it. Joy is coming with us too. Cant wait!

I'm on my way to becoming BLS (Basic Life Support) certified which is exciting because then I can get jobs at medical centers or hospitals as like a receptionist or something but then I'll be working in an environment I really crave to be apart of. I'm excited!

I feel like my life is going in a direction I really want it to and I'm excited.

May The Fourth Be With You

I am so tired. Wow, and extremely moody and pissy. But I'm not going to get into it.

I finished my first semester of college! Technically not my freshmen year yet. I will have finished that by the end of the summer. I'm taking Bio this first summer semester and I am so excited to take it. I really love Biology so I cant wait to take on the workload.

First couple of days of my little mini summer have been all work except n Thursday. I went to the beach with Rachel and we talked and I really missed her.

For my birthday, I decided I want to drive up to Disney and spend two days there. One day at Epcot, and one day (my birthday) at Magic Kindgom. I hope it all works out. I want to drive up the night before because I kinda want my sister to go too, but knowing my dad, he wouldn't let her go for overnight stays. But I would still wanna go up before so I'm not so exhausted during the day but I doubt that we'll do that because it'll be too expensive for the two nights.

Anyways, last couple of days have been stressful and stupid but I'm ready for the new week.
