Well, my last week in SoFlo is coming to a close. I'm had a going away dinner with my best friends last night and we went to my favorite diner. It'll be the last time I see any of them for a while (except Rachel). I'm gonna miss the crap out of them. I'm excited but still, I'm starting to get all gooey and senimental now.

Friday I didn't do much except at night I went to a bar with Rachel and it was a lot of fun! We took a lot of pictures too and those always turn out the best! It was fun, we had McDonalds though and it was good but it was still Mickey D's, ya feel?

Saturday I spent the day with my dad and my sister. I also saw my grandparents, I'm gonna miss them a lot. We pretty much just hung out most of the day, went to the mall, I got a new purse (Thanks Daddy!), and then went to dinner with my lil sis! We got sushi and it was damn good sushi too! I'm gonna miss her the most I think because I only just started to see her a lot more often now and she's still gonna be in SoFlo while I'm gone!

Don't worry, I'm gonna convinve her to go to Pitt so I can keep an eye on her in college! (And yes, she is probably reading this!)

Anyways, I'm searching for futons now for my new apartment and making a list of the things that I need to get when we get up there. Until the 6th, I'll be living in dead space because I'll have left Florida but still wont be in Pittsburgh. I think I'll do some sightseeing.

Sunday, Joy came over and she is busier than me so it was the last time I would see her for a while since she cant make it to the dinner tonight. She's grown to be my other sister (sister from another mister, if you will) and I'm really gonna miss her too. She better be planning to come visit me! Live it up at Pitt with me and Rachel!

 I got WAY to excited about finding the perfect evidence to support my claim in the paper so woohoo! But I just finished my research paper today and I get to email my paper to my professor so we get to leave bright and early tomorrow!

TOMORROW I FINALLY LEAVE FOR PITTSBURGH AND I DONT THINK I COULD BE ANYMORE THRILLED THAN I AM NOW!

Kings and Queens

Today I feel very accomplished. I ran my errands, bought some ink and sent off some packages and now I am going to work on my essay. I only have two weeks left of my class and two more papers including the one I intend on finishing today.

So, very accomplished and busy today.

The pod (we thought) was supposed to be here today but it turns our it's coming tomorrow and then we start packing the boxes in for my place! It's all getting very real since I wont have any of my stuff. Up until now it's just felt like I've been moving with my parents but I'm really moving into my own place and its all very surreal.

Yesterday, Rachel was over and we decided to spend a few hours over at Sawgrass mall and we got poured on! We had to park all the way in the back because for some reason in the middle of the day on a Monday and that's when it was down pouring. So by the time we got to the door we were just wet. It was funny though.

Welp, off to make some lunch and finish the essay!

I don't know what has come over me but I have had the greatest desire to just cook. I never cook because I don't enjoy it but for some reason I've been wanting to cook food. Not even necessarily eating it either. Like I want to cook but I don't want to eat it. It's strange.

But anyways, I made these Buffalo chicken pinwheels. But its basically a buffalo chicken dip with blue cheese and green onions spread onto a tortilla and then wrapped tightly. After refrigerating them for a few hours, they hold together and you serve them with little toothpicks and they are really really really good geez! I like to served them with blue cheese dressing for dipping! The recipe and instructions can be found here.

I also made these cake things and they turned out really good but it wasn't exactly what it was supposed to be because I made the mix too cakey and not sticky enough. But the end result was pretty good. When I make them again I'll use a different pan and less cake mix. Live and learn! I don't know what to call them but they look kinda like smores to me so I'll call them S'mores Bars. And the recipe for that one is here.

Today I'm going to be working on my paper and then just hanging out for the most part.

Yesterday, Rachel and I hung out for a bit and went to the mall. For once I exercised self control and didn't buy anything other than what I needed to buy. It was fun though, she went to Publix with me to buy the food I needed for the recipes. It was fun!

The house is starting to get on my nerves. The more boxes there are, the harder it is to maneuver around the house! My pod is coming this week so today I also need to start packing my clothes and deciding what I'm going to bring with me, wash my sheets and curtains, and pack away everything except my clothes, my books, my laptop, and my sanity. Oh wait, my sanity IS going in a box.

I should go pack now and attempt to start my essay.

Habits

Things are finally starting to fall into place in Pittsburgh. I have an appointment with an advisor and I called the Starbucks up there about my application and all the packing is getting done.

I'm kinda freaking out about the packing to the point where I had a dream about it last night! It was stressful.

Today I had lunch with Rachel and Joy is coming over a little later to hang out for a bit. I got some new pens for my agenda (I like to color code). I also went to to Marshalls with my mom and found this really cute red tunic! And my mom found a cute skirt! We also went to Target to run some errands and got dinner.

Now I'm relaxing after a very productive day with some wine and Greys Anatomy.

The house is starting to empty very quickly. I have to pack my clothes in to  suitcase because my pod arrives on Monday! So soon already, I cant believe it. I'm thrilled though, I cant wait until we leave! counting down the days already.

Just another example of how Rachel and I are Meredith and Cristina from Greys Anatomy. She's my person. I wont go into it because it's not my story to tell but she's my best friend and we just prove that you find your friends in the weirdest circumstances and always not the way you would expect.

I spent half an hour looking for a skeleton print shirt (which should be easy to find) but it wasn't! Ughhh

Anyways, this week has had a pretty slow start. Yesterday I had class and then was home for a little while and today is pretty much the same. School and work but tomorrow should be more fun. I'll be going over to Rachel's to study and just hang out a bit. My end of the week is more exciting than the beginning.

Anyways, thought I would update you all. Leaving work in about 20 min so I'm kinda just procrastinating at this point. I cant look at any more products today. My head hurts!

I'm so excited to move that I've started planning the layout already in my head. I read my cousins blog (which the link is here) and she's writing about her new apartment and its just getting me that much more excited for my move! It's a little scary though. This is something I haven't done before so its a whole new world!

Independence

Well, this is an extremely late post because its been almost a week since we found out but...

I got the apartment I wanted!

Yes! We got the one bedroom apartment! We found out on Wednesday night and it was the best news I could've gotten all week! And my best friends were all there to celebrate with me! My mom and I are already planning where everything is going to go and were thinking about what we need to get. I'm so excited that I've started packing most of my stuff already.

I dyed my hair on Wednesday too! I dyed it back to dark brown hair because its easier to manage and much more mature I think. Plus I wanted to give my hair a break from all the harsh dye. But I reslly like it! It looks really great on me!

My mom and Adam do so much for me and I want to take this chance to say thank you for doing all that you do for me. I wouldn't be getting to go to the city of my dreams and I wont have to worry about rent because of all they do for me. So thank you so much!

My week has been pretty slow since I'm so excited to move now and time is moving so slow!

Today my mom and I went to do a little shopping and then had lunch at J. Alexander's. I was determined to have their mac n cheese one more time before I move. I'm also going to have the BurgerFi veggie burger once more before I leave. But it was nice.

I finished my 2nd paper today for English. I kinda wish I hadn't taken the class only because I really wish I had a longer break but at the same time I really glad I did because I can just get the credit and be done with it.

Anyways, I would post pictures of my new place but I would rather just save the surprise and show it when I'm all moved in!

The Wild Life

Well, my recovery time from the 4th has run out. Friday was great! For the first time, I actually had a great independence day! Rachel and I had margaritas and I'm not gonna get into it but we played pool and we kicked ass and it was just really great.

Saturday we worked on our homework and got chicken tender subs from Publix, and if you've ever been to a Publix, you know that these subs are the best. She had to go to work and I was with the pups for the night.

Sunday I didn't do much and today I didn't do much other than go to class. Tonight my mom is making burgers which I have been craving for some reason.

I've decided to give my hair a break and I'm going to de it back to really dark brown. I had my hair this color in high school and I really miss it. Plus its close to my natural color so when it grows out it wont look weird. Plus the red hair is hard to keep up with which means more money and more stress on my hair. I'm putting a picture of me in high school as an example.

Nothing much else to report other than my weekend. Hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend!

Happy Fourth Ya'll!

Happy Independence day! The only day of the year people (including myself) get really patriotic for 24 hours when normally they're not.

Today I got my nails done today and it was alright. It was really busy so I waited for while, which I didn't mind all that much. Tonight I'm on pup duty and then I'm going to Rachel's house later and sleeping over. Tomorrow we're doing homework and then I have a free weekend as always!

I got my new planner in yesterday! It's really pretty, I love it! I cant really use it until August but its so cute. Last night I gave Lulu a bath and she was sad about it. Poor thing doesn't like water so I made it quick but her face was priceless. She's adorable. I also made dinner last night all by myself and I'm really proud of it. Learning to make meals before the big move!

We put an offer on the apartment and now we're waiting to hear if it'll be accepted. I hope so because I really love this place! I'm really nervous though. I just wanna hear about it by now! Fingers crossed!

Anyways, hope everyone has a safe Independence day! I'm gonna go touch up on my pedicure!

Sorry for the silence, I've been really busy. Well not all that busy just distracted.

My mom went to Pittsburgh yesterday to see the apartment and put an offer in. I really hope we get it. I'm so in love with this place.

I think I'm gonna apply for the Starbucks there. I really enjoyed the job itself but it was other politics getting in the way before. We'll see.

Short post, gotta get going again. Happy Forth of July if I don't post until then!
